A definitive water event with new players and the first Water Inno Awards in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur – the 5th Water Malaysia 2009 conference and exhibition is a biennial event organized by The Malaysian Water Association with the support of the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Water Association of Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya (SWAn), South East Asia Water Utilities Network (SEAWUN), Water Asset Management Company (Pengursan Aset Air), Malaysian Water Partnership, Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (SPAN), the Sibu Water Board, Master Builders Association Malaysia and Construction Industry Development Board.

Water Malaysia 2009 conference and exhibition will see the participation of Group Delegates from the various state water ministries and water associations in the region. As a definitive water event for the region, many new and leading water organizations have committed themselves to taking part in Water Malaysia 2009.

The three day conference on “Industry Best Practices” will be attended by professionals in the industry; lessons learnt will be shared for adoption in organizations for an improved and more efficient water and waste water industry. More than 500 delegates from the region are expected at this conference. Among some of the topics that will be presented are; Asset Management, Capacity Building, Catchment and Management, Customer Services, NRW & NRC (Non Revenue Customers), Regulatory and Enforcement, Water Conservation and Environment Protection. Meetings of water industry stakeholders will be held to discuss on the future conferences that will be participated by water player around the world. These meetings will focus on the up-coming International Water Association’s Development Congress 2011, Bonn Charter’s Water Safety Plan Conference of 2010 and Water Loss Asia 2010.

There will be many new opportunities to be tapped into through the networking and collaborations of local and private organizations. Many emerging players will be seen, new products launched and product presentations by leading water players. The exhibition covers a space of 2700 sqm and will be participated by more than 80 exhibitors from the region.

Exhibitors, delegates and trade visitors will benefit from a wide range of Business Matching, Industry Networking Reception, Workshops & Training, Dialogue Sessions, State Water Delegations, Technical Seminar, Booth Design Competition, Trade Delegations and CEO Round Table Meeting.

Heeding the government’s call for sustainable developments in the future and nurturing an innovative water industry, the inaugural Water Inno Awards, the first ever water innovation award in Malaysia will be held alongside Water Malaysia 2009. It will showcase more than 100 innovations for the water industry. This will enable the researchers to reach their potential market and industry experts to view and evaluate for purchase or investment, a wide array of solutions, services and technologies for the water industry. This is the marketing platform for new innovations and inventions.
